Silent Cinema Art and Technology is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation, restoration, reproduction, demonstration and education of the art and technology of the silent film era. Our mission is to ensure that the music, motion picture imagery, mechanical technology and cultural experience of this foundational period in cinema history are actively preserved, experienced and understood by future generations.

We Work To:

• Restore historic cinema equipment to full working condition
• Preserve technical knowledge that risks disappearing
• Support historically accurate performances of silent films
• Bridge cinema history with modern artistic and technological practices by using digital support for some of the graphics and film restorations
